Here are the games I played for 08-18-10
This really isn't a game so much as an application. It's just like MTV Music Generator, and it allows people like me with absolutely no musical talent to make workable songs. I was messing around and started a new song, but I didn't finish it. I will upload it when I get done with it. If I get done with it.
Here is a Youtube vid of one of the songs I made in the "game":
A spiritual successor to the Pocky & Rocky games, Heavenly Guardian plays like a shmup, except from a top down view, and your character is on foot. It's a fun little game despite the idiotic reviews I've seen for it that spend the majority of their time pissing and moaning about the graphics. "Oh teh Snes cud do betta." STFU noob! Graphics mean jack dick. They barely mentioned the gameplay, and when they did they just talked about how repetitive they thought it was (while they probably later went and played their 20,000th game of Halo online). Just because a game is more blatant about it doesn't make it a bad thing. This game is playable and instant fun. I didn't play that far into it, because it is also difficult (which is another thing they whined about), but I will in the future.
This is a fun game that I guess the "professional" reviewers just didn't have the stones to play. Go play Halo then you ****ing noob. And now this rant is done.
Heavenly Guardian is also available on the Wii.

I mainly just played this game today to capture some video footage for Youtube, but I've been a big fan of the King's Field games for a while now. I wasn't an original fan, because I got my PS1 after these games hit, and had to be told about them later. I finally got my hands on KFII a few years ago and instantly became a fan.
This is another series that people either love or hate. The slow pace of the game will throw off twitch gamers, and the games and all their branch-offs have been panned in the gaming reviews for years. Let me say, these games aren't for everyone, but they have their own die-hard followings. Come into these games with an open mind, and you may end up being pleasantly surprised.
Also, this game comes from From Software, and is the precursor series to their other games like Eternal Ring (panned by the gaming media), Evergrace/Forever Kingdom (Panned by the gaming media), and most recently Demon's Souls.
