I actually spent most of my gaming day testing Xbox games for sale, but I did manage to play one PS1 Game today (08-11-10).
This is a nearly forgotten PS1 FPS game that hit near the end of the system's life. It hit in 2002 to be exact, and by that time all three next gen systems were out meaning that this game was mostly overlooked and forgotten by those who weren't stuck with a PS1 still, or those who still played their PS1 despite having a next gen system.
It can be choppy at times, but overall the game plays very well considering the hardware. It's a modern tactical shooter. Not quite as tactical as Rainbow Six, but perhaps somewhere between Rainbow Six and Goldeneye. It also used mission based objectives. It's not the greatest game ever made, and new gamer snobs will say it's outdated while soiling themselves to Modern Warfare, but those willing to give the game a chance will find a solid experience.
I'm actually tempted to do a full playthrough of this game for Youtube. Maybe someday.

Here is a vid that I uploaded of the game in action (running on a PS2 with texture smoothing on):
