Deus Ex: The Conspiracy (PS2)-
Though the PC version is better in a lot of ways, the PS2 port of Deus Ex still retains the great gameplay of the PC original. Parts of it have been "consolized," but the same brilliant design that made the PC original so great is still there.
Graphically, this game won't impress the average PS2 gamer, but Deus Ex's great mix of FPS gameplay, RPG elements, and open design will suck gamers in for hours. The storyline is also extremely deep, and filled with many plot twists, and government conspiracies.
The open level design in the game means there's a whole lot to see in the game, and many ways to get to your objective. Also, depending on what stats you choose to level up throughout the course of the game, the experience is never the exact same twice. You can choose to go the stealthy, non-lethal route in the game, or you can do it the fun way, and go guns blazing rambo style. You can even mix them if you so choose. The whole game revolves around choice, and that the beauty of it.
DX is a classic regardless of what platform it's running on. This is easily one of my favorite PS2 games, and definitely my favorite FPS (if you can classify it as strictly an FPS game) on the system. If you missed this one, you owe it to yourself to experience it. PC or PS2, this is a must play.
NOTE: Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is one of the few PS2 games to support the use of a USB keyboard and mouse for play.
Here is a vid I uploaded of the game in action:
