How to Turn Texture Smoothing on For PS1 games on the PS2

A question I get a lot on my Youtube vids is "How do you turn texture smoothing on?" With this quick tutorial I'll show you how. From the PS2's Browser screen note the Triangle button icon in the bottom Right hand corner the with word Version right by it. With the Dualshock 2 controller hit the Triangle-button . This brings you to the Version Information screen. Notice that I edited out my PS2's MAC Address, because you guys don't need to know it. Again, note the little Triangle-Button icon at the bottom right part of your screen with the word Options by it. Hit the Triangle-Button again to go to the PlayStation Driver screen. On this screen you have to options to choose Disk Speed or Texture Mapping which are, by default, set to Standard . Hit the X-button on whichever option you want to change. The Link Cable

The link cable is a forgotten peripheral that allowed PS1 gamers to hook two PS1 systems with two copies of a game that supports it for multiplayer action. Essentially, it was an early version of Lan play that would later be made famous by the Xbox with Halo. When I say Lan, I mean networked play that allowed you to play multiplayer with two TVs two PS1 consoles, and two copies of the game, and not networked like Xband on the Genesis/Snes, and later Saturn Netlink which allowed online play. Though the Jaguar port of Doom supported a similar link cable for netwrok play prior, the PS1 Link cable did it better, and was more widely supported than what the Jag had. That being said, it wasn't quite supported enough. Only a handful of games ever supported it. The market at the time wasn't quite ready for console Lan play. Sorry for the lack of updates

As it turns out having friends can and will eat up a lot of your time, but having needy friends who are too helpless to wipe their own ***es at times will eat up any and all spare time you have. Sorry I haven't been updating this blog lately like I should, but people in my real world have been eating up as much free time as they possibly can. This usually involves me doing something for them, and possibly breaking my back in the process (as in I have a bunch of weak friends, who need me to do a bunch of physical work for them, because they are too weak/lazy). I know I should tell them to **** off, and they are taking me for granted, but I really am the loyal type who will do anything for my friends or family. So I will try to keep this blog updated when I can. Sorry for not updating it in so long, but I barely have enough time for gaming lately. People really are running me ragged lately.
