Sorry for the lack of updates

As it turns out having friends can and will eat up a lot of your time, but having needy friends who are too helpless to wipe their own ***es at times will eat up any and all spare time you have. Sorry I haven't been updating this blog lately like I should, but people in my real world have been eating up as much free time as they possibly can. This usually involves me doing something for them, and possibly breaking my back in the process (as in I have a bunch of weak friends, who need me to do a bunch of physical work for them, because they are too weak/lazy). I know I should tell them to **** off, and they are taking me for granted, but I really am the loyal type who will do anything for my friends or family.

So I will try to keep this blog updated when I can. Sorry for not updating it in so long, but I barely have enough time for gaming lately. People really are running me ragged lately.

Anyways, so with that I figure I shall have to update my recent pickups as well as I can. I've probably picked up a lot more games from the last time I posted, so I'll stick to the most recent ones.

Pitfall 3D (PS1)-

This is one I've wanted to play for years, and I finally got my chance to do so. It doesn't support the analog stick for movement, so those spoiled by modern control will have a very tough time with this already tough game. Other than that, from the few levels or so I've played into the game, I'm enjoying it.

Black Friday Deals:

Like an idiot, I went shopping on Black Friday at my local Walmart. Since I bought a number of games. I wasn't super aggressive, so I didn't manage to get Infamous for a mere $10 but I got some other ones.

$10 PS3 Games:

Killzone 2 (I already owned it, but am giving it as a gift), Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (I also owned it, but am again gifting it), God of War Collection (I still own them on the PS2, so I will probably also gift this one, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (I owned it on the PC, but decided to also get it on the PS3 in case anyone on the forums I frequent wants to play it on the PS3)

$7 Games:

Sheppard's Crossing (and oddly addictive farming game on the PS2), 007: Quantum Of Solace (Got it on the PS2 and am disappointed that there is no multiplayer of any sort, it's just single player only, but for a mere $7 I can live with That), Tomb Raider Underworld (OK, so I got this on the 360, and this is a Playstation devoted blog, but I'm just listing what i got).

Overall, it was slightly disappointing when picking up games for myself, but good for Christmas presents.

I later went to my local Blockbuster and found this game for $15:

Bioshock 2 (PS3)-

I already beat the game in the single player mode, and I think it was a lot shorter than the original. I guess the addition of online play really did cut down on the single player experience. I haven't taken it online as of yet, but I don't see Bioshock as a game that really needs an online mode. I know Multiplayer is the big thing right now, and it sells, but I really don't see people leaving the Call of Duty's or the Halo's of the world for Bioshock. The single player is the best part for games like Bioshock 2.

  1. You got some good deals. Instead of going out on Black Friday I just took advantage of some online deals. I ended up getting 12 used games on different consoles for 26 bucks. Consoles are gameboy, dreamcast,NES,xbox 1, and game boy advance. I am happy with myself because usually I spend way more on game deals during the online black friday discount period.

  3. Glad to see the blog get revived as well. I'm hoping that it'll be updated on a more regular basis, but I understand that life can get the best of us sometimes.

I too also went out to my local Wal-Mart on Black Friday in search of $10 PS3 games. I got there a little too late however, and only ended up getting Heavenly Guardian for PS2. I was hoping to pick up the God of War Collection, Ratchet and Clank and maybe CoD4.

However, I more than made up for it on Amazon. I bought Tekken 6, Ratchet: Tools of Destruction, 3D Dot Game Heroes, God of War Collection and Nier for PS3. I wanted to pick up Resonance of Fate and Singularity as well, but I spent the rest of my money on computer parts and a few non Playstation games.
